WHAT ARE CROWNS?

Crowns are dental restorations that resemble natural teeth. They are typically used to repair breaks and protect against future infection. They can also be attached to dental implants in order to replace missing teeth.

We use durable, natural-looking dental crowns that can withstand years of normal chewing, speaking, brushing, and flossing. At the end of dental crown treatment with our dentists, you’ll have a completely functional bite and an attractive smile.

CROWNS IN ACTION

To protect a damaged tooth with a crown, Dr. Kinder and Dr. Whitaker must first reshape the tooth. Then, they can attach a custom-designed crown made out of porcelain, zirconia, or IPS e.max.

CROWNS AND ROOT CANALS

When you come in to get a crown with CEREC, the process will start with your doctor shaping your tooth to fit the restoration. Then, they’ll use a high-resolution scanner to create a 3D image of your tooth. This will be given to sophisticated software that can both design and mill your crown right here in the office. You can watch the entire process from your chair! Then, after it is ready, your doctor will place the new crown into your mouth using a small amount of dental cement.

CROWNS AND DENTAL IMPLANTS

Dental implants are the premier tooth replacement solution in modern dentistry because they replace the roots of missing teeth. Implants fuse directly with the jawbone, so crowns attached to implants will not slip or slide like traditional dentures do. Also, because implants integrate with the jawbone, they prevent the bone atrophy that accompanies tooth loss.

Dr. Kinder and Dr. Whitaker have the skills and expertise to handle every stage of implant treatment themselves. They will not have to refer you to other specialists. If you have a missing tooth, contact our office today to get started on your journey towards a complete smile.

CROWNS AND SMILE MAKEOVERS

Because our porcelain, zirconia, and IPS e.max crowns resemble natural teeth so closely, we often incorporate dental crowns into smile makeover plans. A smile makeover is a custom-designed treatment plan that combines multiple cosmetic procedures to radically overhaul the appearance of your smile.

If you are unhappy with the appearance of your teeth and gums, schedule a consultation with our dentists today. We are experts in cosmetic dentistry who can give you the smile you’ve always dreamed of.
