Step-By-Step Veneers Treatment
We will provide a detailed consultation before treatment. He will inquire about your goals for treatment, and he will design your veneers specifically to meet those objectives. Among other things, he will consider the shape of your teeth, the color of your smile, and the contours of your gum line.
After this evaluation, he will prep your teeth by removing a thin layer of enamel, approximately half a millimeter thick. We provide anesthesia, so preparation involves very little discomfort. Next, we will take impressions of your teeth, providing molds so the lab can create veneers with a precise fit. It will usually take one to two weeks for the ceramists to finish your veneers. We can provide temporary veneers in the meantime. When the veneers are back in our office, we will gently etch the front of your teeth to foster a stronger bond. Then, after checking to make sure they fit correctly, we will attach the porcelain with an adhesive. A curing light will harden the adhesive. Once the veneer is in place, we can make any changes necessary to achieve a comfortable bite.
